Masala vadai/Paruppu vadai instructions

  1. First, in large bowl wash and soak chana dal for 3-4 hours..
  2. Now drain off the water and rest for 10 minutes..
  3. Grind red chillies,fennel seeds, ginger, garlic, clove, cinnamon, chana dal and grind without adding water coarsely..
  4. Transfer the dal to a blender and blend to coarse paste..
  5. Now transfer the coarse dal into large plate..
  6. Add in green chilli, curry leaves, coriander, soak chana dal,coares chilli paste, chopped onion, salt and combine well..
  7. Now prepare small balls flatten the vada and deep fry in hot oil until golden in colour..
  8. Serve masala vadai/paruppu vadai with masala tea..
