Sheera Breakfast. Sheera, also known as Sooji ka halva, is officially the most popular breakfast recipe in our household. I make it about once a week, sometimes even twice. Add fruits and nuts to make it more delicious.

Ingredients of Sheera Breakfast

  1. You need of Suji.
  2. Prepare of milk.
  3. It's of almonds.
  4. Prepare of pure ghee.
  5. Prepare of sugar.
  6. Prepare of Kesar (it's optional).
  7. Prepare of kaju and kismis chopped.

It is thick and fudge-like, but not as rich as halwa. As a result, it is also easier and quicker to make. The most common sheera is made out of semolina. Sheera is also distributed in temples as Prasad.

  4. Then in that milk add roasted chopped cashew nuts and almonds, then add the roasted suji and stir for 2 to 3 minutes, lastly add a pinch of Kesar in it and it's ready to serve..

Most people make this often at home as it is very quick to prepare. It is eaten for breakfast, snack or as a dessert in a meal. At home we usually make this for Pooja and then it is shared with friends & family. Banana sheera made with a twist of banana is made occasionally at home. Mainly on prayers eg, Satyanarayan puja as it's regarded of celestial nature.
